Wish I May Blog Tour: Guest Post + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Wish I May Blog Tour hosted by InkSlinger PR. For today's stop, I've got an awesome guest post by Lexi Ryan to share with all of you as well as the tour wide giveaway, so do not go anywhere because there's a lot of epic going on here! Let's get to it!

About the book:

Title: Wish I May (New Hope, #2)
Author: Lexi Ryan
Publisher: Ever After, LLC
Release date: October 4, 2013

I grew up wishing on stars.

My father taught me to believe…in destiny, in magic, in happily ever after. Dreams were my scripture and the starry night sky was my temple. Then Mom stopped believing, left him, and took us with her. At the age of sixteen, I cashed in my dreams to pay the rent, pawned my destiny to keep my sisters together.

Now, seven years later, I’m returning home, grieving the death of my mother, and settling my sisters back into the life Mom threw away. I never intended to stay. I don’t want to deal with my father, who is so invested in the spiritual world he forgets the physical. I don’t want to face William Bailey, whose eyes remind me of the girl I was, the things I’ve done, and the future I lost.

This would all be easier if Will hated me. As it is, I have to hold my secrets close so they won’t hurt him more than they’ve already hurt me. But he wants to be in my life. He wants what I can’t bring myself to confess I sold. He wants me.

I find myself looking to my stars again...wondering if I dare one more wish.

#BOBblogoversary Day 19: Lisa Desrochers + Giveaway

Welcome to day nineteen of my month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first few days, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B. Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the days following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

For today's feature, I have the amazing Lisa Desrochers, the USA Today bestselling author of A Little Too Far, here to join in the fun! Boy, oh, boy, where do I even begin?! Desrochers is super duper special to me because she was my very first author signing ever, before Books Over Boys was even created. That's crazy, right?

I remember being on Twitter one night (I believe it was a Wednesday night) when out of nowhere, a tweet from Desrochers popped up saying that she was going to be at so-and-so place at 7 or 8 PM (acutally, it was probably 5 PM and the signing was over at 8 PM, lol) for a book signing. As soon as my eyes read over the location, I just knew I had to go; it was only forty-five minutes away from me. I didn't know how I was going to get there but I wanted so very badly to go because it was my very first and... that excited the heck out of me!

I mentioned the signing to my sister and after some plotting, we bombarded my older sister (who could drive) when she got off work with the info and demanded that she take us, no questions asked. Because she loved us so very much, she acquiesced and then we were on our way. I won't get into the details of the signing because it was my first and I was a horrible, awkward mess. ;p But... here's a picture of me and Desrochers!

Oh, that was so very long ago. *takes a closer look* Oh my gosh, that was me? I looked so... not like I do now. But I mean, if I still looked like that now, that might be even scarier, haha. Anyway, it's a bit blurry but... there ya go! Did I forget to mention that at the time, I had absolutely no idea what Personal Demons was about or who Lisa Desrochers was? The idea of actually getting to attend a book signing was my one and only thought, lol.

Desrochers popped my author-signing-cherry and you don't ever forget your first, so it's an enormous honor to have her here today as we continue celebrating Books Over Boys' three years!

#BOBblogoversary Day 18: Katie from Call Me Crazy Reviews + Giveaway

Welcome to day eighteen of my month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first few days, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

Today's post will be the last of my blogger features and I'm so excited to close it out with the one and only, Katie from Call Me Crazy Reviews. Katie and I go all the way back to the start. She was one of the very first bloggers that I connected a lot with when I first started blogging back in 2010. We were huge fans of Lisa Desrochers' Personal Demons trilogy. We were so obsessed that the two of us are exclusively a part of the #PDMafia. ;p It's pretty epic!

Also, as I got to know Katie more and more, I found out that we were both in crazy, stupid love with The Maine. SAY WHAT! I know! In October of 2010, I went to my very first The Maine concert. The days, or even weeks, leading up to the date involved a lot of tweets of me freaking out because I just couldn't believe it. Somewhere in those tweets, I found out that Katie was just as big of a fan as I was. Because of that, we shared a lot of concert stories and meet-and-greet experiences and photos and... yeah, Katie is awesome.

I'm so grateful that I got to know her because I feel like in a way, we're a whole lot the same. Of course, with a few differences here and there but in these three years, I've seen things where I'm like, "Omg, that's so me!" or "What? She likes so-and-so, too?!"

Story of our lives. ;p
Anyway, I'm so happy to call Katie a friend and it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy to have her here today as a part of Books Over Boys' three year blogoversary!

Anyone can play along, just do the following:

  • Grab your current read,
  • Open to a random page,
  • Share two "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page,
  • Be careful not to include spoilers; make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away because you don't want to ruin the book for others,
  • Share the title and the author so Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their to-be-read pile if they like your teaser.

#BOBblogoversary Day 17: Molly McAdams + Giveaway

Welcome to day seventeen of my month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first few days, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

For today's feature, I've got the amazing Molly McAdams, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author of Taking Chances, Stealing Harper, and From Ashes, here to join in all the fun! I have to admit, I've yet to read a single book from McAdams but I promise, she's on my list! Fun fact, McAdams and I have the same exact first name. I betcha (well, some of you anyway, lol) didn't know that. So... yay you because you just learned something new today! ;p

Also, did you know that McAdams' newest release is out today? I know! You just learned two new things in a matter of seconds! Wow, let's keep it going! ;p Anyway, happy release day to Forgiving Lies, the first book in the Forgiving Lies series! Sentinel Blog Tour: All things JLA & Covenant Related + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Sentinel Blog Tour hosted by the fabulous Valerie from Stuck In Books. Before I get to all the amazing (and to be honest, bittersweet—for me, anyway) things going down today, can I just say how utterly upset and heartbroken I am to see this top favorite series of mine come to an end? I'm not a fan of series ending and when that series is an all-time favorite, it's even worse. Sad face, big time.

All things JLA and Covenant related are super near and dear to my heart because they were two of the very first, ever, of all time, things that I came into contact with (tell me why, after typing those two words, zombies came to mind? weird...) when I first became a blogger back in 2010. I remember back when JLA and the whole crew at Read. Chat. Love. used to get together almost every night to simply chat about every and all things book related. JLA was (and still is) our author rock star and three years later, it makes me smile ear to ear and my heart all warm and fuzzy and happy and excited to see all that she's accomplished and achieved. I'm so proud of Jennifer and she couldn't deserve it more!

JLA was also one of the very first authors to get me close and personal with a publishing house—Spencer Hill Press. (After checking Goodreads, it seems that I read Half-Blood in December of 2010. My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets after seeing how much time has passed; that's crazy pants!) Two months or so into blogging (I shouldn't even be requesting at this age; I wasn't even old enough to crawl ;p), I got ballsy enough to contact SHP and request an ARC of Half-Blood and my balls must have had luck because I got a copy. I nearly lost my sh*t! ;p It was definitely one of my highlights of being a newborn, all thanks to the fabulous JLA!

Back when Read. Chat. Love. was still up and running, we used to host random giveaways and because JLA was our author rock star, she sponsored and donated a lot to our giveaways. Anyway, my copies of Daimon and Half-Blood mean the ultimate most to me because they have these bomb-diggity stick drawings in them of the whole Covenant crew (well... the crew at the time... which only consisted of Alex, Aiden, Seth, and daimons, lol).

Needless to say, I love Jennifer to the next milky way and back times a million, billion, trillion, krillion, frillion, zillion, villion, gillion! This is why the Covenant series is super, duper, extra all-the-things-on-the-side special to me; it means the most to me. It's making my heart so heavy and sad to see this series go. I mean, I'm not even caught up (I stopped after Pure) but still, there's so much turmoil swirling about in me. I really just can't!

For today's stop, I'm taking a trip down memory lane (focusing primarily on Half-Blood; I'm taking you guys back to the beginning) where we'll take a closer look at how the amazing and epic and awesome Half-Blood (and Alexandria Andros' life) all began! Stick around because 1) this post is probably going to be the longest that I've written in all of 2013 ;p and 2) things are gonna go down! Oh, I should also mention that Spencer Hill Press is hosting one heckuva giveaway for this tour that's more epic than epic, so don't miss a single thing going on today in this post! Now, let's go kick some daimon ass!

Never Let Go Blog Tour: Spotlight + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Never Let Go Blog Tour hosted by Literati Author Services, Inc. For today's stop, I've got a spotlight on Never Let Go as well as the tour wide giveaway to share with all of you so stick around and don't go anywhere! ;p

About the book:

Title: Never Let Go
Author: Scarlett Edwards
Publisher: Self
Release date: October 16, 2013

The first day of college gives every girl a chance to reinvent herself.

I go and screw mine up by meeting the most gorgeous guy I've seen in five years while talking to my cat.

But Andrew Crowner is far from judgmental. By the end of our interaction, he has me smitten by his easy manner and kind smile. And from the way his eyes linger on me before he leaves, I start to think that maybe I’ve caught his attention, too.

I let myself believe that luck may finally be on my side. That is, until I stumble on my roommate, and her overnight guest: Spencer Ashford.

Lean, tattooed, and sexy as sin, Spencer is exactly the type I need to avoid. I would have no trouble with that... were it not for his swift and inexplicable interest in me.

Suddenly, I go from a girl with next-to-no experience with boys to one caught in the crosshairs of two completely different men.

Andrew's interest is wholesome and sweet. Spencer's is edgy and raw. My choice should be easy. But there are always complications, and sometimes, matters of the heart take the least expected turns.

#BOBblogoversary Day 16: Sam from Paper Cuts + Giveaway

Welcome to day sixteen of my month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first few days, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

For today's feature, I've got the awesome Sam from Paper Cuts here to join in the fun! I've known Sam for a while now and somewhere along the line, she's become someone who I can go to and command to read so and so book after I've finished it. That came out a bit weird but I didn't want to get all informal (more than I already am) on you guys. But what I mean is that after I finish a book that's got me nine levels of happy and excited and distraught and... all the feels, I can comfortably send a quick message to Sam and basically tell her she has to read said book or else, lol!

Every now and then, we'll update each other on what we've been reading and after hearing Sam's recommendations, I realize that we have pretty similar—like thisclose—taste in books, which just adds to Sam's level of awesome! Anyway, it's great to have her here on Books Over Boys today because her friendship means a whole bunch to me!

I am a huge book/music person so it's always a treat for me to get to see the music that inspired the book, characters, scenes, etc. So, check out Greer's playlist and let me know what you think of the song choices. Psst, Greer has excellent taste! ;p

Before we get to today's post, though, you all need to know that today is the amazing and oh-so-very awesome, Cait Greer's birthday -- woot, woot!

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the days following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

For today's feature, I've got the awkward and amazing, Cora Carmack, the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of Losing It, here today for lots of epic fun! It's no surprise how big of a fan I am of Carmack. Just recently, I went on a Carmack binge and read all the books in her Losing It series that I'm still reeling from the fact that it's over. I seriously don't think my mind has comprehended that because I feel like there's more coming; clearly, I'm in denial. ;p

She has made a fan out of me for life and although we won't be seeing anymore from her one of a kind cast in the Losing It series (there's still Jackson's upcoming novella, Seeking Her, so it's not completely over but... novella it is), I'm thrilled and a whole lot of excited about her new and upcoming release, All Lined Up, the first in the Rusk University series. Friday Night Lights plus New Adult -- I'm definitely going to be all over that!

Needless to say, having Carmack here today has got all my fangirl juices on an all-time high and it's definitely an honor!

Then, it was a brand new idea that no one was really sure about so when I started hearing a few of my close blogger pals raving about McLaughlin's Forever My Girl, I decided to give it a try. (Now, looking back, FMG is probably more Adult than it is New Adult but like I said, it was a new and shiny idea that no one was really sure about.)

After reading FMG, I've been a fan since (even though I've yet to catch up with the rest of the series ;p), so it's an honor to have McLaughlin here to celebrate Books Over Boys' three years!

Finding It Blog Tour: Excerpt + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Finding It Blog Tour hosted by InkSlinger PR. I'm so ecstatic and thrilled to be on this tour because just last week, I was on a Cora Carmack reading binge where I devoured Keeping Her, Faking It, and Finding It in a matter of days!

I read 'em so fast that I can't believe I'm done. I feel like there's more coming; I feel like I'm in a state of denial, that this couldn't possibly be it. I know that Jackson is getting his own novella, Seeking Her, next year so there's definitely that to look forward to but... I just want more Carmack!

I have a hard time letting series and characters and worlds go, so needless to say, I'm a bit, if not a lot, bummed. Anyway, before I get off track, check out the excerpt I have for you today as well as the tour wide giveaway!

Catch her if you can…

Rafael Renaldi is a modern man with an old-fashioned secret—an arranged marriage. Though it was an informal agreement, made when they were children, Rafe has always been a little in love with the beautiful, passionate Catalina Campioni. And assumed that the single, searing kiss they shared years ago sealed the deal.

Marriage? Babies? Not now—not yet. After growing up witnessing her mother’s devastation over her father’s cheating, Cat has no intention of settling down anytime soon. She plans to live life to the fullest before marching down the aisle—and it definitely won’t be with womanizing, lethally charming Rafe.

When Rafe realizes his bride-to-be wants nothing to do with him, he does what a crazed man might do—he kidnaps her. But not to force her to the altar. She wants adventure? He’ll show her adventure, and show her life with him will never be dull.

But even as they fall in love, someone close is desperate to keep them apart and will do whatever it takes to ensure they won’t marry. Anyone. Ever…
