Angelfire Read-Along Official Kick-Off + Sign-Ups | #ReaditandReap

Welcome to the first day of the Angelfire #ReaditandReap Read-Along! Like I mentioned in last week's post, the ball will start rolling on Monday, December 3rd, but today Nicole and I are here to lay out the main gist of this read-along and what's in store for all you ravenous readers!

This post is kind of like the blueprint of the whole read-along so as long as you follow this, you'll be golden until January 29th, 2013!

Angelfire #ReaditandReap Blueprint

The one thing that is required of the participants for this read-along is that your name needs to be on the linky list (which will be posted below). If you're going to be taking part in this read-along, please make sure your name is on the list so Nicole and I will know that you aren't cheating. All we need is your name and a link to where we can find you (i.e. goodreads, your blog, twitter, tumblr, etc.). As most things online go, we're going off the honor system here and if you say you did something, well... you know, make sure you did it. Nicole and I will be verifying everything and double checking all entries.

• First off, the read-along starts on November 29th (that's today) and ends on Shadows in the Silence's release day which is on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013.
• Nicole and I have divided up the chapters in Angelfire and Wings of the Wicked by the total number of weeks in this two month time frame and will be assigning chapters for you to read, accordingly.
• Each week, there will be two posts (a Monday and Friday post) that you will need to keep an eye out for. It gets a bit sticky during this part but if you stick to me like super glue, it will be a piece of cake.
• Monday: this post (which will start on Nicole's blog) will include the chapters you will need to read for that week as well as a discussion question that will get your mind going on the following chapters you'll be reading. If you answer the discussion question, you'll be entered into the monthly giveaway of winning a pre-order of Shadows in the Silence. This giveaway will be through Rafflecopter.
• Friday: this post (which will start on my blog) will be a re-cap of the week where I'll be reminding you of the chapters you should have finished reading. Nicole and I will also be posting our answers to the discussion question at this time. Along with all of that, I'll be posting six trivia questions that Nicole and I came up with to quiz you of the chapters you just read. If you answer the trivia questions, you'll be entered into the grand prize giveaway which is a signed set of the entire Angelfire trilogy plus swag!
• Also, if you get all six trivia questions answered correctly, Nicole and I will be send you some swag.
• This giveaway will also be conducted through Rafflecopter.
• As you read all of this, it doesn't seem to be making much sense but once the posts start, you'll see that they're actually simpler than they sound!
• Now, let's take all of that info and pack it into a nutshell, shall we?

1. Nicole will be posting on the first Monday (December 3rd) with the chapters you will be needing to read as well as the discussion question.
2. I'll be posting on the first Friday (December 7th) with a re-cap of the week with a reminder of the chapters you finished reading, me and Nicole's discussion question answers, as well as a trivia quiz.
3. The following Monday (December 10th) will then be my turn to post the chapters and discussion question.
4. The Friday of that week (December 14th) will then be switched to Nicole where she will do the re-cap post.
5. Basically, Nicole will post on Monday, I'll post on Friday then we'll switch and I'll post the following Monday with Nicole on that Friday. Like we said, it's kind of hard to follow right now, but once it gets going, it won't be so difficult!

Me and Nicole's main goal of this entire read-along is to help get the word out about this series. It's amazing and so super awesome that we really just want more people to read it and become huge fans like ourselves. By hosting this read-along, we want all Angelfire fans to come together as we countdown to the epic finale that is Shadows in the Silence. We want to discuss possible theories about what will happen in the conclusion to this favorite series of ours, we want to draw the line between Team Will and Team Cadan and even Team Marcus and Team Nathaniel, and possibly, maybe even Team Bastian (I know you guys exist *__-), we want to talk favorite scenes, favorite quotes, favorite lines, favorite... everything about this entire series as a whole.

I've already mentioned it once or twice or a few hundred times but this series has seriously done something to me that I actually can wait until Shadows in the Silence. I don't want this series to end and I don't know how I'll take it because I'll be happy and excited yet super sad and a mess. Because of that, join Nicole and I as we prepare ourselves for this ending to a great and amazing world!
