Welcome to my stop on the Crave Blog Tour hosted by InkSlinger PR. For today's stop, I've got Monica Murphy here for an interview as well as my review on the amazing-ness that is Crave.

Along with today's load of awesome, there is a tour-wide sponsored giveaway with deets below on how to win so, stick around and don't miss a second of any of it! ;p

About the book:

Title: Crave (Billionaire Bachelors Club, #1)
Author: Monica Murphy
Publisher: Avon Impulse
Release date: August 6, 2013

Billionaire Archer Bancroft always gets what he wants—and he’s wanted Ivy Emerson, his best friend’s sister, for far too long. Being forbidden and untouchable only makes her more tempting. When a million-dollar bet with his friends throws down a challenge—last bachelor standing takes all—Archer knows he can win. That is, until one enchanted evening with Ivy takes his heart for a ride.

Ivy knows Archer is nothing but bad news: Infuriating, arrogant…and completely intoxicating. But despite her best efforts, she can’t seem to keep away. When a stolen kiss leads to a night of heated passion, Ivy realizes she’s in trouble and in head over heels.

But in the light of day, everything seems clearer and Archer’s not so sure a one-night stand is all he wants. Concocting a plan to keep Ivy by his side, Archer might just be willing to lose this bet…and win the jackpot instead.

My $0.02

I’ve been meaning to read some Monica Murphy for a while now, and as it turned out, Crave was my very first. I didn’t know what to expect, not really, but I loved what Crave delivered because it most certainly left me craving more Monica Murphy. And Gage Emerson and Matt DeLuca. ;p

From the get-go, Crave wasted no time getting right into the nitty-gritty—that’s one thing that I loved the most. As I said, I didn’t quite know what to expect, so the fact that I couldn’t tear my eyes away for a big chunk of the book definitely meant a lot. As your eyes land on the first page, you’re introduced to Archer Bancroft—one very smart, sexy, and determined billionaire in all of Napa Valley. He and his two best friends are talking about marriage and the points they were making were so… intriguing to read about. Before you know it, there’s a huge bet set in place and the game is on.

Welcome to Books Over Boys, Monica! First off, tell us a little about yourself and your upcoming release, Crave.

Well, I write new adult contemporary romance as Monica Murphy and I write romance as Karen Erickson. I’m a native Californian, I’m married with three children and I have too many cats. (The last line makes me sound a little crazy right? LOL)

Crave is the first book in my Billionaire Bachelors Club series with Avon Impulse and it’s about three friends who make a high stakes bet that they’ll never let a woman tie them down. Which means I, of course, throw women at them that they can’t resist and every single one of them eventually falls in love.

Q. So, halfway through Crave—wait, not halfway, more like three chapters in, I realized that this series is the one that takes place relatively nearby to me. Did you do any sort of location/traveling research?

I haven’t yet…I’ve been to the Napa Valley before and San Francisco plenty of times (I’m a native Californian so I’ve been up and down this big ol’ state). I do hope to get over to the Napa Valley soon for research for my third book in the series Savor. A friend of mine’s husband works at a winery! I mean, how cool is that?

Q. You say Crave is like a blend between your Monica self and your Karen Erickson self. Did that make the writing process easier or harder? You got to go that inch farther than you do in New Adult but there’s that adult vibe going on, too. How did that work?

Working on Crave really didn’t make the writing process harder or easier, just different. The series is a true blend of my Monica and Karen self. It combines the younger characters, slightly edgier feel and first person point of view that comes with a Monica book with the contemporary romance feel that comes with a Karen book. It was a lot of fun writing these books and my editor is wonderful. She helps me make the stories that much stronger. I’m really hoping readers will enjoy this series as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Q. For those who are unfamiliar with Ivy, how would you introduce her? And what song(s) best describes her work ethic?

Ivy Emerson has just graduated from college and is starting out her career working as an interior designer working for a very respected company in San Francisco. Her father is very successful in real estate, as is her brother, which means she was raised in privilege but she has no problem working hard for what she wants.

Songs to describe her work ethic? Honestly I have no idea. Let’s just say she’s very determined and creative.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about Archer? And what’s one of your favorite lines from him?

Archer is probably even more determined than Ivy to go after what he wants. Nothing ever gets him down and I love that about him. Well, he’ll chicken out and hold back but eventually, he has to go after what he wants. He did exactly that with Ivy. He made a few idiot moves but finally realized the error of his ways.

My favorite Archer line (it’s more what he’s thinking than something he actually said out loud): Plus, she just made the word scintillating sound hot. The woman is either some sort of sex goddess or I’ve turned into a complete pervert.

Q. Book two in your Billionaire Bachelors Club series, Torn, follows Gage Emerson—who I was instantly intrigued by and just a teeny, tiny bit fixated on. I know it’s still really early but what can we expect from his book?

Gage is very confident he has everything together and that his life is perfect. Then he meets Marina Knight and realizes he wants…her. Desperately. Yet she acts like she doesn’t want him and that just throws him off big time. Makes him do and say some crazy things.

I’m editing/revising Torn right now and let me just say, Gage and Marina are a lot of fun.

Lastly,

Q. Archer, Matt, and Gage are professional wrestlers. What would their ring name be and why?

Um…the Billionaire Hotties? That’s pretty cheesy right? (says the mom of a boy who used to love watching the WWE).

Thanks so much!

Thanks for having me!
