Welcome to my stop on the Savor Blog Tour hosted by InkSlinger PR. I'm so thrilled to be on this tour because I adore Murphy's Billionaire Bachelors Club series. After devouring Savor, Matt seems to be the favorite for me. I'm a little puzzled by it but there was just... something about him. If you've yet to pick up this series, I highly recommend you get on it, stat! Plus, you can get the entire series for less than five bucks—say what! That's a bomb diggity deal! ;p
For today's stop, I've got an awesome interview with Monica Murphy and the tour wide giveaway to share with all of you, so stick around and don't miss a second of any of it! ;p
About the book:
Billionaire Bachelors Club, #3)
Author: Monica Murphy
Publisher: Avon Impulse
Release date: January 21, 2014
New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy concludes her sexy Billionaire Bachelors Club series with a fiery romance that refuses to be left at the office…
Bryn James can’t take much more. Smart, sexy Matthew DeLuca is everything she wants in a man, but he’s also her boss—the youngest, hottest vineyard owner in the Napa Valley—and he doesn’t see her as anything more than his shy assistant. That’s all about to change. Armed with a hot new look and an attitude to match, Bryn is determined to catch Matt’s eye… professionalism be damned.
With his winery’s grand reopening approaching, Matt is trying to stay focused, but Bryn is suddenly making it very difficult. He’s always thought her prim demeanor effortlessly sexy, but Matt can’t deny that her transformation is jaw-dropping …and going to make it very difficult to keep his hands to himself.
But when one thing leads to another and suddenly Matt is stripping Bryn bare, he’ll be faced with the biggest risk of his career—and his heart. Can he convince her—and himself—that this might just be more than a no-strings office affair?
Welcome back to Books Over Boys, Monica! It’s so awesome to have you on the blog today! As you know, I just (very) recently finished Savor so it’s a huge pleasure to get to talk more about it with you! To start off, how would you describe Matt and Bryn’s relationship in one sentence, including the three title words in your Billionaire Bachelors Club series?
Thank you for having me Momo! I love chatting with you but you already know this. ☺ And what a great question. Okay, here I go:
Matt CRAVES Bryn and he wants to SAVOR her but he’s TORN since she works for him.Ha! I did good didn’t I?
[BOB: You did, you did! That was awesome and it makes all the sense in the world!]
Q. What are you most excited about for Savor’s release?
I’m excited for everyone to see the three silly bachelors all back together and…not bachelors anymore. I love the relationships between the three men as friends, and the women too. And though I’m sad the series is over, I’m excited for everyone to meet Matt and Bryn. I really enjoyed writing their story.
Q. In my last interview with you (for the Crave blog tour), I had asked if you did any location/travel research. Did you do any for Savor? Did you get to go see that winery?
Well, I did do some travel to the Napa Valley in December and got to hang out with Lauren Blakely and Jessie Evans, two of my favorite author friends. Didn’t do any winery tours though. How remiss of me.
Q. As I started reading Savor, I realized that the first book, Crave, had that sister/best friend thing going on. In Torn, it had that haters-to-lovers thing going on and in Savor it had that forbidden/opposites attracts thing working. Which of the three is your favorite to read about?
Um…all of them? Truthfully, I love love the forbidden, I work for him/she works for me boss/assistant storyline. Those stories are my crack.
Q. Which character have you enjoyed getting to know the most over the course of writing the Billionaire Bachelors Club series?
Well, I have a tremendous soft spot for Archer since he was the first character of this series to come to me. I love seeing how he’s grown and changed all because he’s found Ivy. And I loved writing Bryn. I think she’s my favorite of the three heroines from the series.
[BOB: I agree so much with you! It's crazy to see how much Archer's grown since Crave! It's almost like he's a new person, lol!]
Q. If all six of your main characters from the Billionaire Bachelors Club series were still in high school, which yearbook superlatives would they have won? (Ex: Most Likely to go to Jail for a Night, Most Likely to be a Reality TV Star, Most Likely to Become a Superior Court Judge, etc.)
Archer would’ve won most likely to go to jail for the night, HA. Gage would’ve been the guy most likely to succeed and Matt would’ve won best athlete or most likely to become a professional athlete (which he did!). Ivy would’ve been the homecoming queen, Marina the ice queen (ha ha) and Bryn would’ve won girl most likely to win Miss USA because she used to compete in pageants (a detail I never reveal in the book but it just fits her).
Q. Savor wraps up the Billionaire Bachelors Club series. Under Monica Murphy, you’ve written this series and the Drew + Fable series. What can we expect next from you this year… under all your names? ;p Are there any current works in progress that you can shed a little light on?
As Monica I can say…absolutely nothing. But this doesn’t mean I’m not working on anything. I am. I just can’t say what’s coming out yet because things are still in the works/up in the air. As Karen Erickson, I have the third book from my Game for It series with Entangled’s Brazen line coming out in the late spring. I also have a new series starting at the end of 2014 as Karen. Karen is booked and busy.
Q. ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. *it happens* Which of your characters dies first? Who would you want by your side fighting zombies? Who goes off searching for a cure? Who completely loses it? Who is the brain behind keeping your group alive?
Ha, I love it. Okay, I hate to say this but I can see Archer dying first because he would be like, “Come at me, bro!” and they would. Then they’d eat him. I think Gage and Marina both would go off searching for a cure. I think Ivy would completely lose it because she lost her man! I would want Matt by my side fighting the zombies and I think Bryn would be the brains keeping us all alive.
Thanks so much for being here today, Monica! It’s been a blast! And huge congrats on Savor’s release!
Thank you!! Loved your questions – they were so much fun!
