Today is the big day, everyone! This year the YA Sisterhood is hosting their second, annual YA Crush Tournament! Today, I am here to help Kayleigh from K-Books spread the word about voting for the one and only, Aiden St. Delphi, from Jennifer L. Armentrout's Covenant series!

Last winter, I advocated for Alexandria Andros in the YA Heroine Tournament and so this is a big deal to me! The #HalfBloodLegion needs to come back full force and lead Aiden straight to the finish line! He'll be going up against Ash--the Ice Prince--from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series so this is going to be one ginormous tough match!

But JLA didn't leave her fans hanging! She has some pretty juicy incentives for all of us if we help pull Aiden through! Check 'em out!

Hey everyone, I'm Kayleigh from K-Books and I am here with a task from the Gods... to advocate for the awesome Aiden St Delphi from Jennifer L Armentrout's phenomenal Covenant series!

Aiden is the perfect lead male character in the Covenant series. I'm going to convince you why you need to vote TEAMAIDEN! After all he is the world's best Pure Blood!!

If you've read the Covenant series you won't need much persuading from me to vote for Aiden. He can do that all on his own. The one word to describe him and his personality is: PERFECT!
It's the truth he is just perfect! In every way!

- Aiden is one of the strongest characters you will ever read about. He is fiercely protective and always out to protect the ones he loves.

Aiden is tall, dark and drop dead gorgeous. He has the most intense storm coloured eyes that turn to shades of silver when he feels strong emotions.

Yes girls, it's okay to swoon!! He IS dreamy and drop dead gorgeous! Totally swoon worthy!!

Talents!

As a Pure Blood Aiden can control the element Fire. Yes, this boy is super HOT! In more ways than one. So watch out for Aiden, he may just burn you up ;)

Aiden is a wicked kick-ass fighter who is super fast and super strong. He has dedicated his life to fighting Daimons and has the skills to excel at it. Yes not only is he fiercely protective he has all the skills to save your life in the case of a Daimon attack. This is one guy every girl wants!!

He has super self-control, always sacrificing himself and his feelings in order to save and protect other people. He has the patience of a saint too. Come on to train Alex he kinda has to!

So... long story short: AIDEN IS THE PERFECT MAN! I KNOW IT... YOU KNOW IT.... THE GODS KNOW IT!!!

So there is only one thing left to do!!

Vote for Kaidan in the YA Crush Tournament

This summer the YA Sisterhood is hosting their second annual YA Crush Tournament. Today is Kaidan's first match up against Finnick from Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games. Kaidan is from Wendy Higgins's the Sweet Evil trilogy and his advocate is Tara from Tater's Tall Tails.

I, personally, haven't read the book yet but I'm here to support Tara and her man in the hopes of trying to persuade all of you to give him a vote! Now, I hand it over to Tara as she gives us her defense post!

ATTENTION!!!!!

Captain Tara here, your acting advocate for Kaidan Rowe, along with Shreya and Gianna, my second and third in command in the Kaidan Army, Infantry Division, part of the Tater’s Tall Tails troop. We are here today under orders from Pharzuph, the Duke of Lust, to increase awareness about his son Kaidan Rowe. He wants us to help Kaidan in this YA Crush Tournament that is going on under the command of the YA Sisterhood Troop. His orders are to inform everyone about the Seven Deadly Reasons to Love Kaidan Rowe and encourage the masses to VOTE for him to be the ultimate crush in the tournament. We hope to give you all the information you need to vote for Kaidan! We wouldn’t want him to get in trouble with his daddy or the other Dukes for not properly influencing the masses!

Now Kaidan is the unbelievably sexy main man from Wendy Higgins’s book Sweet Evil. Kaidan is a unique individual, although he is the son of the Duke of Lust, he in fact exhibits traits from all seven of the deadly sins. Kaidan Rowe is your typical gift from the gods: brown hair cut short on the sides and back, but longer on top, angling across the forehead. His eyes were a gorgeous color of tropical honeymoon waters, ringed in dark sapphire and enclosed by thick lashes. And he is smokin’ hot. As in H-O-T-T hot. Kaidan is extra-T worthy.

Now here are Seven Deadly Reasons To Love Kaidan Rowe:

1: Envy: Kaidan has been known to make the male population quite envious and jealous. Aside from his good looks, he has incredible talent.  According to our field agent, Private Jay, Kaidan Rowe has been described as: “…a killer musician, he gets tons of chicks, his dad’s loaded, and if that wasn’t enough, he’s got a friggin’ English accent!” p. 15

2. Gluttony: Kaidan has shown to make this rather unattractive sin, quite attractive. Know to be a disgusting sin; Kaidan has turned gluttony into quite a spectacle.  I believe he uses his lustful nature to influence others on this.

“He picked up a green pear from his plate and bit into lit, licking juice that dripped down his thumb.” p. 180

3. Wrath: Although Kaidan is the epitome of calm, silent and cool, there are times where the Duke of Wrath, Alocer, causes Kaidan to lash out. According to our information, one of Kaidan’s more recent admire, recalled a moment on their journey displaying Kaidan’s loss of control:

“With the swipe of an angry arm, Kaidan had sent a glass lamp flying off the dresser, where it bashed against the wall. He pointed at me, eyes blazing.” p.177

4. Pride: Being incredibly good looking and charming has its determents. Kaidan is often under influence of Rahab, the Duke of Pride. Kaidan has been known to use his bedroom eyes on unsuspecting victims and does not hid the fact that he sleeps in the buff. His pridefullness has gotten him the description of hotheaded, egocentric male slut by some local populations. But his pride has also interfered with his work: “Hum, moved too quickly. Rookie mistake.” But he is always quick to recover…“But I can see you still want me.” p. 137

5. Sloth: Kaidan and his experience have been known to cause women to become quite lazy and unable to move under his expert touch. Many women describe a certain, cessation after their romp with Kaidan. Our incredible informant was kind enough to share a moment of her experience of the lazy, satisfying experience with Kaidan: With an expert movement, his stealthy hands went up to the back of my shirt, past the uncomfortable bra clasp that dug into my skin, fingers tracing my shoulder blades. The tense muscles spasmed weakly, then turned to Jell-O under his touch. p. 135

6. Greed: Not one of Kaidan’s better qualities or favorite sins, he isn’t known to show others his needs and wants. But there is one female in particular that causes Kaidan to feel a bit…possessive and needy. When Kaidan wants a girl, he wants it all…but his way. Just ask Kope for those stories. We have never seen him be as possessive as he is with his Luv, Ann…

“Just me, luv,” he said, close to my ear. “Aren’t you the picture of domestication? Do you cook as well?” p. 233

His voice lowered to sexy, dangerous depths. “I want to introduce myself to every freckle on your body.” p. 347

7. Lust: Kaidan, being the son of the Duke of Lust, has no problem with this sin.  We have had multiple reports from the female officers about how good and lustful Kaidan can be.  But one striking encounter happened with Kaidan’s off the books assignment, in a hotel room outside of LA one afternoon.

We met halfway. His lips were as hot as his eyes, sending a shock way through me. His tender mouth opened mine and I could sense the red of passion, like silk, circling us, pulling us closer. I was aware of a halfhearted battle within me, but I clambered nearer, pushing the notebook and papers to the floor.

His lips broke away from mine and moved greedily down my neck. A moan escaped me at the feel of his hot breath on my skin, and it was all the encouragement he needed. p. 236

Now we have been instructed under the General of the Kaidan Army to talk about his secret weapon: his tender moments, where his lust moves to love. Kaidan doesn’t like the world to know what is under his badge.  But under all of his bedroom eyes, sexy tussled hair and tanned skin, there is a man with true heart. He has the ability not only to make you swoon over his good looks and talented hands, but his tender moments will touch your heart and you will forever be his.

 “Which was your favorite place?” I asked.

“I’ve never been terribly attached to anyplace. I guess is would have to be … here.”

I stopped mid-chew and examined his face. he wouldn’t look at me. He was clenching his jaw, tense. Was he serious or was he teasing me? I swallowed my bite.

“The Texas panhandle?” I asked.

“No.” he seemed to choose each word with deliberate care. “I mean here in this car. With you.”~ 153

Kaidan also knows how to truly love a woman. He might see it as his job or just par for the course but any woman loves a man that knows what he is doing. 

I can feel out someone within five minutes of conversation to know what I would have to say and do to lure her into bed.

I know secrets of the human body most people don’t even know about themselves. p. 158

And out last shining quality about Kaidan and a reason for you to vote for him is: Kaidan finds something attractive about everybody. EVERYBODY! That means he thinks there's something very sexy about each and every person, and he never thinks of anyone as "ugly." There are days where he is just staring at people, noticing all the little ways they are attractive.

…I felt his hand around my wrist, spinning me in a half circle and pulling me to his chest. His face was so close. He reached down and cupped my face with one woolly hand, and wiped the top corner of my lip hard with his thumb. I flinched back.

“What are you doing?”

“I…” he appeared to have no idea himself. “I wanted to see your freckle.”

A vulnerable tenderness flashed across his face, more painful to see than the coldness.  …

“What do you want from me Kai,”

“For starts,” his voice lowered to sexy dangerous depths. “I want to introduce myself to every freckle on your body.”

The YA Crush Tournament Comes To An End

On July 2nd after an exhausting Saturday afternoon, I laid down to finally get some shut eye, but of course before I checked out for the evening, I logged on to the twittah. My awesome blogger buddies Jaime and Patricia were tweeting with Brittany and Amy about something called the YA Crush Tournament. I was reading a few of their tweets and so I finally checked out the blog and I read THIS post and scrolled through the list of contenders and sad to say, I only knew about six of the guys on the list so I went ahead and decided to advocate for Patch Cipriano from the Hush Hush saga by Becca Fitzpatrick!

I did not know what I had put myself in charge of, lol! Surely four days after the original post went up, the first two matches went up on July 6th - the start of the first round of the tournament. Because they were the very first two matches of the whole tourney, I wasn't really sure how things worked but the rules and voting were super simple. All you had to do was vote and vote and vote. Oh and spread the word, of course! Each match lasted 48 hours and the voting process was limitless; you were able to vote as many times as you liked! Immediately after the two days were up, the next matches began and so on and so forth until the end of the first round.

Before Patch's first match in the first round against Renier Laroche from Andrea Cremer's Nightshade, my part of advocating was...to spread the word and inform people about the tourney! So in the days leading up to the match, I was tweeting like crazy, I contacted the administrators for the official fan website, I was all over the Hush Hush fan forum. I made a thread post on Goodreads, and I personally contacted people who stopped by Becca Fitzpatrick's blog; I was advocating like crazy! I wasn't sure if Patch would make it through his matches, nonetheless get as far as he did! At the end of the two days, Patch was victorious against Ren and so that advanced him into round two where he was competing against Peeta from Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games; without a doubt, I went into the match thinking for sure that Patch was going to get pounded into the ground but by some miracle, Patch stood tall at the end! In the third round of the tournament, Patch was up against his toughest competitor yet - Ash, the Ice Prince, from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series!

On the day of the match, I was away at school for this school event so I wasn't able to advocate as much besides tweet from my phone, which was exactly what I did! I was so busy at school that every two hours or so I was able to check my phone and I just kept seeing tweets that Ash was in the lead and then later, tweets were coming in that Patch's army was called upon and...yeah, the match was definitely going back and forth! Because of the first round and the incredibly crazy dedicated fans, we broke the voting systems and from round two and on, everyone was limited to one vote per computer - which in my opinion made the voting seem more fair and accurate. By ten o'clock that evening, I checked the post one last time and saw that Patch was behind by about 200 almost 300 votes and so by then, I had sorta, kinda given up hope that Patch was going to be able to catch up. I mean, where was I going to get that many more people to come and vote for Patch?! ;) Also, at that time the votes were: Patch was somewhere in the 1700 and Ash was in the 2000. Soon after I drifted off to sleep and I was restless (yes, super dedicated right here) because around five almost six in the morning, I woke up and checked on the voting results and saw that Patch and Ash were incredibly close! As the time came down to five minutes, all I could do was stare at the post and break the refresh button! LOL

It was SO intense, my leg was shaking so bad, I couldn't control it! My eyes were like this: O__O as the votes for both Ash and Patch increased after every refresh! They were surely chasing each other! At the very last minute, literally, Ash beat out Patch by about forty votes and...there was the end of Patch's victorious streak!

This whole tournament has been lots and lots of fun; of course it was also gruesome, stressful, tiring and exhausting but fun, without a doubt! But honestly, I'm glad that Patch got out when he did because I don't think...actually I know that Patch won't stand a chance against Jace from Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments! That will be one intense match! Also, because Ash beat Patch in the third round, he will be going up against Jace on August 8th!

Now, thinking back about the whole tournament, it basically made up the whole second half of my summer, lol! Additionally, because of this whole tournament, I have made a huge load of new friends via twitter! Other advocates from the tournament, Patch devotees and just new people in general! This has been a great experience but if this tourney returns next year, pleeeeeeease hold me back and do not let me advocate; this time around was almost going to be the death of me! No joke! It takes a lot of work and dedication to support our YA crush worthy boys, but hey, they're all winners and we all love more than just one of them!

Now after the third match where it was Ash versus Patch, all that I'm thinking about now is: If Ash and Patch ever met.....

LOL, answer that in the comments; imagine that! If Ash and Patch ever met...wow, they would be complete opposites! I think...somewhat!

The YA Crush Tournament: Patch versus Ash

In exactly one week from today, our favorite bad boy/fallen angel, Patch Cipriano will be competing for his life in round three of the YA Crush Tournament hosted by The YA Sisterhood!  Like I said in the sidebar to your right, → → → → → → → → → → → →
each round will only get harder and harder.  Patch will be up against Ash, the Ice Prince, from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series.  Oh my gosh, breathe Momo!

Will he be able to get through this round?!  I don't know, you tell me!  This match will take place on Wednesday, August 3rd until 8AM, central time and end on Thursday, August 4th at 8AM, central time!  A good, solid 24 hours to vote and spread the word!  Tell anyone and everyone to vote; on the day of voting, send the link to everyone you know on all social networks: email, facebook, twitter, tumblr, blogger, wordpress, etc.  ANY thing that you can think of!

This is the big match because if Patch gets passed this round, he will be in the winner's circle.  Ah!  I already know that Jace will be there, waiting for him so I think it is pretty clear who will take that round, no? ;)  BUT that does not mean Patch will not put up a fight; you can most definitely count on it!

The YA Crush Tournament: Patch versus Peeta

The YA Crush Tournament

At the beginning of July, the YA Crush Tournament initially began and immediately it became a big hit with bloggers throughout the...web (yes, I almost said world). In short, it's a tournament where the top 25 most crush-worthy male characters of the Young Adult world come together and battle it out via votes from the fans. I wasn't aware of the nominations so I didn't take part in that but because of my amazing blogger friend, Jaime, I ran across some of her tweets the night that the top 25 male characters were posted. At first, I wasn't planning on participating but when I took a look at the top 25, I thought well, hey this could be fun and now here I am. Note: This night was July 2nd.

Six days later, on Wednesday, July 6th, the first match began: Nash versus Hale and St. Clair versus Puck. Because there are so many crush-worthy male characters, every two days two separate matches took place. Each match day lasts about 40 hours; enough time to vote and campaign for more votes. Within the first four days of the tournament, all the fans came and voted to support their most favorite crush-worthy male and in doing so, we crashed a few of the voting systems. Note: Round one → vote as many times as you'd like. Now because the voting sites couldn’t and didn’t understand our unconditional love for our boys, in round two, it became one vote per computer.

Round two just started on Monday, July 18^th where Four was pitted up against Hale and Tod against Archer. Yesterday was the start of the third and fourth matches of round two: Jace versus Jules and Michael versus Tucker; they both end at midnight today. Now tomorrow is the BIG DAY. If you didn’t or couldn’t tell, I am the advocate for Patch Cipriano from Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush Hush saga. Starting tomorrow morning, at 8AM CST, Patch’s match will begin. He is up against Peeta from Suzanne Collins’s The Hunger Games. Same thing for every match—it will last 40 hours long, so that means polls close at midnight on Saturday, July 23^rd.
