Welcome to day twenty-seven of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B. Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the weeks following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

Today's post will be the last of my author features and I'm so excited to close it out with the one and only, Jennifer L. Armentrout, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Covenant and Lux series. JLA will always have a very special place in my heart. I feel as though we both started out at the same time and it makes my heart so happy and warm and fuzzy to see how far she's come and how much she's accomplished! It blows my mind; she's truly epic and oh-so-very amazing!

Every single book she writes is pure gold, no joke! If you're ever looking for a book that will never disappoint, JLA is your gal! I haven't read every single one of her books, but from what I have read, I've loved 'em all; she's totally turned me into a fan for life! I love JLA crazy and one of these days, she and I really must meet in real life! Seriously.

Sentinel Blog Tour: All things JLA & Covenant Related + Giveaway

Welcome to my stop on the Sentinel Blog Tour hosted by the fabulous Valerie from Stuck In Books. Before I get to all the amazing (and to be honest, bittersweet—for me, anyway) things going down today, can I just say how utterly upset and heartbroken I am to see this top favorite series of mine come to an end? I'm not a fan of series ending and when that series is an all-time favorite, it's even worse. Sad face, big time.

All things JLA and Covenant related are super near and dear to my heart because they were two of the very first, ever, of all time, things that I came into contact with (tell me why, after typing those two words, zombies came to mind? weird...) when I first became a blogger back in 2010. I remember back when JLA and the whole crew at Read. Chat. Love. used to get together almost every night to simply chat about every and all things book related. JLA was (and still is) our author rock star and three years later, it makes me smile ear to ear and my heart all warm and fuzzy and happy and excited to see all that she's accomplished and achieved. I'm so proud of Jennifer and she couldn't deserve it more!

JLA was also one of the very first authors to get me close and personal with a publishing house—Spencer Hill Press. (After checking Goodreads, it seems that I read Half-Blood in December of 2010. My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets after seeing how much time has passed; that's crazy pants!) Two months or so into blogging (I shouldn't even be requesting at this age; I wasn't even old enough to crawl ;p), I got ballsy enough to contact SHP and request an ARC of Half-Blood and my balls must have had luck because I got a copy. I nearly lost my sh*t! ;p It was definitely one of my highlights of being a newborn, all thanks to the fabulous JLA!

Back when Read. Chat. Love. was still up and running, we used to host random giveaways and because JLA was our author rock star, she sponsored and donated a lot to our giveaways. Anyway, my copies of Daimon and Half-Blood mean the ultimate most to me because they have these bomb-diggity stick drawings in them of the whole Covenant crew (well... the crew at the time... which only consisted of Alex, Aiden, Seth, and daimons, lol).

Needless to say, I love Jennifer to the next milky way and back times a million, billion, trillion, krillion, frillion, zillion, villion, gillion! This is why the Covenant series is super, duper, extra all-the-things-on-the-side special to me; it means the most to me. It's making my heart so heavy and sad to see this series go. I mean, I'm not even caught up (I stopped after Pure) but still, there's so much turmoil swirling about in me. I really just can't!

For today's stop, I'm taking a trip down memory lane (focusing primarily on Half-Blood; I'm taking you guys back to the beginning) where we'll take a closer look at how the amazing and epic and awesome Half-Blood (and Alexandria Andros' life) all began! Stick around because 1) this post is probably going to be the longest that I've written in all of 2013 ;p and 2) things are gonna go down! Oh, I should also mention that Spencer Hill Press is hosting one heckuva giveaway for this tour that's more epic than epic, so don't miss a single thing going on today in this post! Now, let's go kick some daimon ass!

Victoria Scott's Website | Twitter | Facebook | Goodreads
Bad boy, meet bad girl.

Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.

When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.

With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Momo's Playlist (8): Start of Something Good

Wow, has it been a while or what? ;p

Recently (like last week), I finished J. Lynn's New Adult, Wait for You (check out my review here). For those of you who know me, I always (although, not so much lately... so, i guess it's not always anymore) find a song to listen to that in some way relates back to the book I'm reading.

At first, I couldn't find the right one until... randomly shuffling through my ipod, I came across this song that I swear could not be more perfect for Avery and Cam -- like word for word.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

Deity Book Trailer and Apollyon Cover Reveal‏

Photobucket

Today is a very epic day because well, whenever the great and amazing Jennifer L. Armentrout is involved, epicness occurs. As the title of this post states, I'm helping out in the Deity book trailer reveal as well as the cover reveal for Apollyon.

I am a huge fan of all things JLA although I am quite ashamed to admit that I have yet to read Deity or any of the Lux books. *hides and ducks from pitchforks* Ooh, I should probably not mention that I also haven't read Cursed or Tempting the Best Man. Man, that makes me look like I am not as big of a fan as I say I am. Oh boy, this is starting to look really bad.

But hey, that doesn't matter. After reading JLA's Covenant series (well, the first two books, anyway), I was hooked hard, for life, even. It's just...JLA is a mad writing machine and she can whip out a book faster than Willow Smith can say I whip my hair back and forth! No joke, people! Jennifer L. Armentrout is a writing beast and she has about eleven or so books out and/or releasing that it's almost, sorta hard to keep up!

Anyway, I will remedy all of that soon (I oh-so very hope-so)! I didn't watch the trailer for Deity because I'm not going to spoil anything for myself so after you watch it, just leave me a comment saying something along the lines of: "Oh my gosh--amazing!" or "You're crazy, read the book!" or "WOW!" I mean, all three will make me feel that much more horrible for not reading the book yet but hey, that's your job so I'll read it sooner, right? Totally right.

Aah, do not even get me started on the cover for Apollyon. I totally think it's my second favorite, right after Half-Blood but I mean, Half-Blood is number one because well it's book one and it's purple and who doesn't love purple? Back to the cover for Apollyon. It's gorgeous and shining and all UP IN YOFACE. Oh, and it's super sparkly too--it just glows. Seriously.

And here's a little fun fact for all of you to ponder over a bit before you guys set eyes on the cover. Although, you guys might just skim over all of this because this is just too much writing to read, lol. Even I agree but I just had to let my JLA fan-girl have a say.

Click on image to zoom in.

This was a part of a comment thread in my post for the Deity cover reveal that took place during the YA Heroine Tournament last winter. Kate Kaynak, the editor of JLA's Covenant series had asked if I had any guesses for what color book 4--Apollyon--would be and I said orange or yellow. So, you think about that...

Now, onto the book trailer for Deity!
