Author Feature: A.J. Pine

Title: If Only
Author: A.J. Pine
Publisher: Entangled: Embrace
Release date: March 24, 2014
Age group: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sometimes it takes crossing an ocean to figure out where you belong.

It’s been two years since twenty-year-old Jordan had a boyfriend—which means it’s been forever since she, well, you know. But now she’s off to spend her junior year in Aberdeen, Scotland, the perfect place to stop waiting for Mr. Right and just enjoy Mr. Right Now.

Sexy, sweet (and possible player) Griffin may be her perfect, no-strings-attached match. He’s fun, gorgeous, and makes her laugh. So why can’t she stop thinking about Noah who, minutes after being trapped together outside the train’s loo, kisses Jordan like she’s never been kissed before? Never mind his impossible blue eyes, his weathered, annotated copy of The Great Gatsby (total English-major porn)…oh, and his girlfriend.

Jordan knows everything this year has an expiration date. Aberdeen is supposed to be about fun rather than waiting for life to happen. But E. M. Forster, Shakespeare, and mistletoe on Valentine’s Day make her reconsider what love is and how far she’s willing to go for the right guy.

Author Feature + Giveaway: Isla Morley

Title: Above
Author: Isla Morley
Publisher: Gallery Books
Release date: March 4, 2014

I am a secret no one is able to tell.

Blythe Hallowell is sixteen when she is abducted by a survivalist and locked away in an abandoned missile silo in Eudora, Kansas. At first, she focuses frantically on finding a way out, until the harrowing truth of her new existence settles in—the crushing loneliness, the terrifying madness of a captor who believes he is saving her from the end of the world, and the persistent temptation to give up. But nothing prepares Blythe for the burden of raising a child in confinement. Determined to give the boy everything she has lost, she pushes aside the truth about a world he may never see for a myth that just might give meaning to their lives below ground. Years later, their lives are ambushed by an event at once promising and devastating. As Blythe’s dream of going home hangs in the balance, she faces the ultimate choice—between survival and freedom.

Above is a riveting tale of resilience in which “stunning” (Daily Beast) new literary voice Isla Morley compels us to imagine what we would do if everything we had ever known was taken away. Like the bestselling authors of Room and The Lovely Bones before her, Morley explores the unthinkable with haunting detail and tenderly depicts our boundless capacity for hope.

The last thing he needs is this nagging curiosity about a cute American with sad eyes.

But one unexpected kiss leads to another and soon Talia and Bran discover they are in uncharted territory. As they are tested by life’s challenges, they discover the courage to claim love and learn that sometimes in order to find yourself, you need to venture off the map.

#BOBblogoversary Day 25: Kelly Oram + Giveaway

Welcome to day twenty-five of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B. Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the weeks following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

First off, my blogoversary celebration is coming to a close! I mean, it probably felt never-ending to some (or most) of you but it gave my heart all the warm and fuzzies that I was able to feature every single person that stopped by Books Over Boys. You guys don't know how much that meant the world to me! Aack, I'll save all the mushy-gushy-it's-all-coming-to-an-end speech for the last day. ;p

For today's feature, I've got the fabulous Kelly Oram, author of the super awesome Jamie Baker series and the adorable Avery Shaw Experiment, here to add to all the fun we've been having! Being Jamie Baker was one of the books that I came across before I even created Books Over Boys. I remember browsing the net, coming across the super duper bomb book trailer, and immediately wanting to dive in!

When I finally got the chance, I devoured it in one enormous bite! It was that good! Ever since then, I've been a fan. The one thing about Oram that never fails to keep you coming back (well, me anyway) when you open up any of her books is how well she captures her characters' voices. She's got that down straight to a tee! To me, it's definitely what differentiates her from all the other authors.

Earlier this year, I noticed that Oram was releasing another stand-alone that sounded super cyoot. When it came out, I remember getting into bed, starting the book and... not stopping until four short hours (FOUR! I can't believe it. I don't normally keep track but it was so good, I read straight through the night) later when I flipped to the very last page. And that book was The Avery Shaw Experiment. If you've yet to check that one out, I highly recommend it!

Kelly Oram's books are always a joy to read and I always have my eye on what she's whipping up next, so it's a huge pleasure to have her here today!

#BOBblogoversary Day 24: Nyrae Dawn + Giveaway

Welcome to day twenty-four of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

For today's feature, I've got the sweet and lovely, Nyrae Dawn, author of so, so, so many of my all-time favorites, here to join in the celebration! Back in 2012, I discovered Dawn's What A Boy Wants and ever since then, I have read most (with the exception of three, I believe) of her books. I just can't help it and I don't think you would be able to either once you pick up a Nyrae Dawn book.

When I picked up What A Boy Wants, the one thing that totally and completely captivated me about Dawn and her amazing story-telling was how well she was able to get inside the male POV. To this day, WABW and WABN are still two of my top male POV novels! They're amazing and so, so, so good!

Fast forward to June of this year when I fell madly, truly, and deeply head over heels in crazy stupid love with Facade. I'm not the fastest reader out there so I haven't read a ton of books this year but out of the ones I did read, there are six that are my absolute top favorites of 2013. Out of those six, Facade takes the lead, no doubt about it. I was so overwhelmed and thoroughly consumed by it that thus far, no other book has been able to shake it. I love it damn hardcore!

Needless to say, Nyrae Dawn is an all-time favorite author and I am so happy she let me feature her today as a part of my blogoversary! She's the best and I heart her!

#BOBblogoversary Day 23: Jordan Deen + Giveaway

Welcome to day twenty-three of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

For today's feature, I've got the amazing and wonderful Jordan Deen, author of one of my all time favorite werewolf series, The Crescent, here to join in the fun! I discovered Deen back in early 2011. Actually, my sister discovered Deen first. She read The Crescent and Half Moon back in late 2010, early 2011. I remember she would always text me and swoon all over Brandon and Alex and I especially remember her being all torn up about both of them!

Because she was hung up so hardcore, when my birthday rolled around in March, she got both books for me and because I was so darn stoked, I read both of them during my birthday weekend. And because my sister's taste never fails, I fell madly in love with Deen's series. Like... I fell really hard! To this day, I still rave that it's one of the best werewolf series of all time! But... I'm well aware that that might just be me. ;p

I am dying for the last and final book in the series. I don't even think Deen is aware of how much I need this book. I need to know where Lacey's story will go and how it will end and just... all of it! So, Jordan, pretty please get this baby in my hands!

It's a pleasure to have her here today and it means the most to me! So, without further ado...

#BOBblogoversary Day 22: Leah Clifford + Giveaway

Welcome to day twenty-two of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B.

For today's feature, I've got the awesome and bad-ass Leah Clifford, author of the epic Touch Trilogy, here to join in the celebration! Clifford is another author that I discovered shortly after I came into the blog world. Her novel, A Touch Mortal, was met with a bit of uncertainty because of all the mixed feels from everyone who had already read it. Even my sister was a bit unsure and lost about it and I trust her but... eventually, I said screw what everyone's saying because they iz not me and I iz not them. ;p

Of course, I loved it and it blew my mismatched socks off! Although, I have yet to finish the series, lol. I fail. Anyway, I got the chance to meet Clifford a few months back (months as in last year, I think) and it's certified that she's just as awesome offline as she is online. More so, even. I was starstruck and amazed just being in her presence. Btw, she's got a ton of epic stories to tell and I could seriously listen to her tell stories all day, every day. By the end of the night, I left thinking, "Man, she's got such a cool life!" No joke.

It's so special and cool that she agreed to stop by my humble abode to help celebrate my three years! It definitely means a whole bunch of honey oats to me! So, without further ado...

#BOBblogoversary Day 21: Katy Evans + Giveaway

Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the weeks following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

For today's feature, I've got the wonderful and amazing Katy Evans, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Real series, here to join the party! Before I begin, let's all wish Mine one heckuva birthday! All the congrats to Katy Evans on her release! I am so happy and ecstatic for you! You deserve all the success that's been showered on you and so much more. I'm so, so, so proud of you, Katy!

I stumbled upon Katy Evans' Real back in March one day when I noticed that Evans had followed me on Twitter. Intrigued by her bio, I checked out her book, got in touch, devoured Riptide... and the rest is history. Since then, Remington Riptide Tate has taken the entire world by storm! Everyone loves him, he loves me, all is good! ;p

I love and adore Katy Evans like nobody's business. It's so great and fascinating and awe-inspiring to see her fly to the stars and sparkle. I swear, she's got her own constellation! Back when Real was first published, I worked with Evans to pimp Remy and Brooke and through that process, I got to know how truly amazing and genuine and kind Evans is and it warms my heart to see how far she's come. Needless to say, it's an enormous honor to have her here to help celebrate my three years!

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the weeks following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

First, happy November 1st! I can't believe 2013 is nearly over, that's... where did all the previous ten months go?! Before we know it, Christmas and New Year will be over in a flash and then we'll all be looking at 2014. Aack, total insanity!

Anyway, for today's feature, I've got the fabulous New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jasinda Wilder, here to celebrate my three years! Earlier this year, the New Adult epidemic hit and that lead me to Wilder and Falling Into You. I just checked Goodreads and it tells me that I read Wilder's FIY back in March. I can't believe it because it feels like it wasn't even that long ago.

Because Wilder wrote a New Adult, I've been a fan since. So, it's an honor to have her here today, celebrating my blogoversary with me!

#BOBblogoversary Day 19: Lisa Desrochers + Giveaway

Welcome to day nineteen of my month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first few days, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B. Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.

Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the days following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!

For today's feature, I have the amazing Lisa Desrochers, the USA Today bestselling author of A Little Too Far, here to join in the fun! Boy, oh, boy, where do I even begin?! Desrochers is super duper special to me because she was my very first author signing ever, before Books Over Boys was even created. That's crazy, right?

I remember being on Twitter one night (I believe it was a Wednesday night) when out of nowhere, a tweet from Desrochers popped up saying that she was going to be at so-and-so place at 7 or 8 PM (acutally, it was probably 5 PM and the signing was over at 8 PM, lol) for a book signing. As soon as my eyes read over the location, I just knew I had to go; it was only forty-five minutes away from me. I didn't know how I was going to get there but I wanted so very badly to go because it was my very first and... that excited the heck out of me!

I mentioned the signing to my sister and after some plotting, we bombarded my older sister (who could drive) when she got off work with the info and demanded that she take us, no questions asked. Because she loved us so very much, she acquiesced and then we were on our way. I won't get into the details of the signing because it was my first and I was a horrible, awkward mess. ;p But... here's a picture of me and Desrochers!

Oh, that was so very long ago. *takes a closer look* Oh my gosh, that was me? I looked so... not like I do now. But I mean, if I still looked like that now, that might be even scarier, haha. Anyway, it's a bit blurry but... there ya go! Did I forget to mention that at the time, I had absolutely no idea what Personal Demons was about or who Lisa Desrochers was? The idea of actually getting to attend a book signing was my one and only thought, lol.

Desrochers popped my author-signing-cherry and you don't ever forget your first, so it's an enormous honor to have her here today as we continue celebrating Books Over Boys' three years!

For today's feature, I've got the amazing Molly McAdams, New York Times & USA Today Best Selling Author of Taking Chances, Stealing Harper, and From Ashes, here to join in all the fun! I have to admit, I've yet to read a single book from McAdams but I promise, she's on my list! Fun fact, McAdams and I have the same exact first name. I betcha (well, some of you anyway, lol) didn't know that. So... yay you because you just learned something new today! ;p

Also, did you know that McAdams' newest release is out today? I know! You just learned two new things in a matter of seconds! For today's feature, I've got the awkward and amazing, Cora Carmack, the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of Losing It, here today for lots of epic fun! It's no surprise how big of a fan I am of Carmack. Just recently, I went on a Carmack binge and read all the books in her Losing It series that I'm still reeling from the fact that it's over. I seriously don't think my mind has comprehended that because I feel like there's more coming; clearly, I'm in denial. ;p

She has made a fan out of me for life and although we won't be seeing anymore from her one of a kind cast in the Losing It series (there's still Jackson's upcoming novella, Seeking Her, so it's not completely over but... novella it is), I'm thrilled and a whole lot of excited about her new and upcoming release, All Lined Up, the first in the Rusk University series. Friday Night Lights plus New Adult -- I'm definitely going to be all over that!

Needless to say, having Carmack here today has got all my fangirl juices on an all-time high and it's definitely an honor!

For today's feature, I've got the lovely Heidi McLaughlin, author of Forever My Girl, here to join in the fun! Towards the end of last year into the beginning of this year, the scrutiny on the category, New Adult, began. Then, it was a brand new idea that no one was really sure about so when I started hearing a few of my close blogger pals raving about McLaughlin's Forever My Girl, I decided to give it a try. (Now, looking back, FMG is probably more Adult than it is New Adult but like I said, it was a new and shiny idea that no one was really sure about.)

After reading FMG, I've been a fan since (even though I've yet to catch up with the rest of the series ;p), so it's an honor to have McLaughlin here to celebrate Books Over Boys' three years!
