Welcome to day twenty-three of my two-month long celebration event for Books Over Boys' three year anniversary! ;p If you would like to check out the first month, you can do so by clicking the link that says "click here for all things blogoversary related" underneath the B.O.B. Turns 3 tab located in my right sidebar.
Even though the official day for my blogoversary has come to pass, I'm still celebrating because the weeks following my very first blog post are still worthy of celebration, yaknow? Well, I think so, anyway. Or, I just want a reason to celebrate, so here we are!
For today's feature, I've got the amazing and wonderful Jordan Deen, author of one of my all time favorite werewolf series, The Crescent, here to join in the fun! I discovered Deen back in early 2011. Actually, my sister discovered Deen first. She read The Crescent and Half Moon back in late 2010, early 2011. I remember she would always text me and swoon all over Brandon and Alex and I especially remember her being all torn up about both of them!
Because she was hung up so hardcore, when my birthday rolled around in March, she got both books for me and because I was so darn stoked, I read both of them during my birthday weekend. And because my sister's taste never fails, I fell madly in love with Deen's series. Like... I fell really hard! To this day, I still rave that it's one of the best werewolf series of all time! But... I'm well aware that that might just be me. ;p
I am dying for the last and final book in the series. I don't even think Deen is aware of how much I need this book. I need to know where Lacey's story will go and how it will end and just... all of it! So, Jordan, pretty please get this baby in my hands!
It's a pleasure to have her here today and it means the most to me! So, without further ado...
I’m weird because…
-I don’t like feet.. they freak me out.
-I don’t like my feet being touched… see answer 1. ☺
-I can’t function without some kind of noise around me.
-I won’t eat anything if I know the person didn’t wash their hands before preparing it, touching my plate, touching my cup... nothing...
-I love to swim… but I hate having wet hair.
I’m awesome because…
-I get to do what I love, everyday.
-I am a fiercely loyal mother, friend, and activist.
-I truly believe in making the world a better place and believe in teaching my son to be kind to others.
-I believe in playing my music as loud as I can in my car and singing along.
-My nails are rarely ever all the same color.
I’m a bad friend because…
-Simply because I let my writing come first. ☺
-I hate talking on the phone.
-It takes me 3 hours to return texts.
-See #3… I can actually forget for days…
-I’d rather read than gossip about our other friends.
I’m a good friend because…
-I would do anything for my true friends.
-I try to make things up to my friends by immortalizing them as kick ass characters in my books… think Brea in ‘Half Moon’…. ☺
-I have a pool in my back yard and friends are welcome anytime. Even if I’m not in it.
-I bake. ‘Nuff said.
-My friends are my family. I’ve known my best friend for 24 years.
I’m sad because…
-My trilogy, ‘The Crescent’ will be coming to an end soon.
-My son is growing up.
-I don’t get to attend as many signings and events as I want.
-Summer is over... ☺
-I have yet to make it to the Bahamas… (I really thought this would be the year.)
I’m happy because…
-My newest project, ‘Breaking Lauren’ is just starting. ☺
-My son is growing up… lol (it’s bittersweet).
-I am lucky enough to be a feature on Momo’s blog!
-I have some of the best fans ever. I enjoy getting emails daily from readers telling me how much they’ve identified with Lacey from ‘The Crescent’ or Lauren from ‘Breaking Lauren’. It’s amazing to be able to share something so personal with people that I haven’t met.
-I have the best family and friends supporting me in this dream of mine.
I’m excited for…
-The season premier of ‘Once Upon a Time’… I love that show.
-The release of ‘Losing Lauren’ in December.
-The return of ‘Monday Night Football’
-Halloween (for the Candy and Costumes), Thanksgiving (for the pies), and Christmas (for the decorations!).
-My son to start third grade!
So, when I was younger my BFF was totally into online dating. We were 19 when she met this guy that lived 12 hours north of us. Bless her heart, she agreed to drive to meet HIM (Girls, this is a bad idea… for any generation! Make him come to YOU) Anyway, she loaded up her horrible old school Toyota Tercel wagon and headed out to meet Mr. Wonderful. Long story short, she ended up broken down five hours from home with no way to get back. Mr. Wonderful *finally* stepped up and drove down to help her… only to tow her back to our place, drop her off and never contact her again. Guess he wasn’t Mr. Wonderful, after all.
Admission: I am totally addicted to reality TV. One of my favorite shows was the Girls Next Door… but I am completely against Playboy and the objectification of women. Is that weird?
I have a hard time waiting for new books or shows to come on. Right now, I am seeing these commercials for “Reign” on The CW, and I’m having a really hard time not being mad every time a commercial for it comes on! I CAN’T!
About the author:
I love to meet new people and get teased (a lot) for my knack to make friends anywhere, including but not limited to: the bank, the store, the bathroom, the movies... you get the idea.
A few of my fave things: dogs, quads, my family, camping, and (of course) tattoos.
One of the most important things to know about me- I live each day with the moto: Life is about the journey, not the destination.
