MAX-imum Exposure Blog Tour: Interview with Pietr

Welcome to the MAX-imum Exposure Tour for the 13 to Life Series!

Each site throughout the tour will have swag and an indivualized interview with either Pietr, Max or both! Shannon has also included an audio download for each interview so you can hear the Rusakova boys! And make sure you join us live at 11 am EST on 2/12 for a Blog Talk Radio event with host Barry Eva, Pietr, Max and Shannon! Go here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Across-the-Pond

And here's today's interview!

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Molly:
Hello, Pietr!

Pietr:
Strahsvoytcha.

Molly:
How was your experience when you first transformed into a werewolf?

Pietr:
The change was terrifying. Not the change itself—that is exhilarating—like the most amazing stretch after your body has been asleep for too long and your bones have nearly forgotten how to behave... But showing myself to Jess—that was the terrifying part. I knew it was a moment there could be no going back from but it was also a moment that felt long overdue—sharing the absolute truth of my nature with her.

Molly:
What significance does your saber tattoo mean to you?

Pietr:
The saber marks my kind. It is a symbol that has long been associated with both officers in the Russian military and the oboroten. Legend states all our kind are born with the saber marking them. Some legends say the mark is on a werewolf’s hip, but I am glad it marks our shoulders—Max does not need any more reasons to consider dropping his pants.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Want to hear Pietr answer the questions? Then watch, er, well, listen to the interview below!
Note: That's Shannon asking the questions, not me. :)

Leaving 16 Behind!

So, today is February 6th and in exactly one month from today I'll be turning 17! EEK! :) As exciting as that sounds, I'm feeling a little blue for leaving 16 behind! I feel like this year for me has been one heck of a year but then again I feel like I've been 16 forever - but now that I've come to realize that I'm going up a year, I'm feeling a little down. I'm not quite sure why. No, actually I do kind of know why - I guess with me reading all these books - my mind became programmed to think that something was going to miraculously happen to me when I turned 16, LOL! As dumb as that sounds, I guess it's kind of true. It's not like I expected a brooding vampire, or an alpha male werewolf, or an icy fey Prince to show up at my door! ;) But you know . . .
I'm also feeling . . . oh I don't know! Okay, so this year a lot of the books that I've read, the main character was 16; either she started out being 16 or she turned 16 later on. Anyway, I just feel that for me, it was kind of special to when I read books where the MCs were the same age as me. I guess that's what I'm feeling most sad about, lol!

Anyway, there's my little goodbye (kinda!) to being 16 and looking forward to what being 17 has to bring! *__* In March I have a few things planned but for this month all my followers/readers get the chance to ask me questions; any questions they'd like to know about me. You can submit as many questions as you want and when March rolls around, each day I'll be answering a couple.

*NOTE: I won't be answering all of them, maybe the ones that I want to, and maybe a few risky questions! ;) LOL! So, you have all month to ask me questions - asking questions will be closed on the 1st of March!

Cover Reveal: Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Like a few of my more recent Cover Reveal posts, the first book to this series isn't going to be released until September 15th of this year (expected publication taken from GoodReads)! But the cover for the second  book, PURE, has been released out into the wild! Isn't it gorgeous?! I don't know about you all, but I'm a sucker for book covers! I don't know what it is about them, but they rock! Like I mentioned in a Cover Reveal post a while back - the second or third or fourth cover in a series is awesome because somehow the cover always compliments the first book in the series or the book before that book. Let's get a look at what I mean; let's take a look at the first book in this series:

Yeah, you see what I mean now?! :) HAHA! Something with the colors are so captivating! They're both plain, pretty simple covers, but something about them has me captivated! *__*

What are you thinking? Are you in a trance right now? LOL, let me know in the comments!

Cover Reveal: Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter

Okay, so the first book to this series isn't even released yet but I just wanted to share with all of you guys the cover of the second book! :)

Isn't that super pretty? Wait, wait for it!

BAAAAAM!

Isn't this cover super amazing too?! Like the two of them just go together! I love the color schemes and everything! :) I'm totally waiting for this book in March! Go add it to your goodreads and/or your TBR list! *__*

What do you think of these covers? Ya love it? Ya hate it? Let me know in the comments! Happy reading!

Happy Book Bday to Delirium and The Demon Trapper's Daughter!

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love - the deliria - blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.
EEEK! I have been waiting for this book FORever! I've read so many awesome-tastic reviews! They surely did create buzz! I so want to read this book! BUT I can't go buy it yet! My TBR pile has gotten nowhere; everytime I look at it, I just walk away! It's overwhelming, lol! So, when I read at least 2-4 books out of the stack, then I'll reward myself with buying a few more books!

Riley Blackthorne just needs a chance to prove herself – and that’s exactly what the demons are counting on…

Seventeen-year-old Riley, the only daughter of legendary Demon Trapper, Paul Blackthorne, has always dreamed of following in her father's footsteps.  The good news is, with human society seriously disrupted by economic upheaval and Lucifer increasing the number of demons in all major cities, Atlanta’s local Trappers’ Guild needs all the help they can get – even from a girl. When she’s not keeping up with her homework or trying to manage her growing crush on fellow apprentice, Simon, Riley’s out saving distressed citizens from foul-mouthed little devils – Grade One Hellspawn only, of course, per the strict rules of the Guild. Life’s about as normal as can be for the average demon-trapping teen.

But then a Grade Five Geo-Fiend crashes Riley’s routine assignment at a library, jeopardizing her life and her chosen livelihood.  And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, sudden tragedy strikes the Trappers’ Guild, spinning Riley down a more dangerous path than she ever could have imagined. As her whole world crashes down around her, who can Riley trust with her heart – and her life?
HEY HEY HEY! Would ya look at that?! Another angel debut! WHOO-HOO! WOW! You all know how I feel about angel books! This is at the top of my reading pile, but like I stated above, I can't, I won't go buy it yet until I lower my TBR pile! It just gets too crazy! LOL! :)

Daily Dose (6)

"I love that so many people have taken this meme under their wing and are enjoying the theme. It's brilliant to pop over to random blogs and catch some inspiring images. If you'd like to participate in Daily Dose, simply make a post on Monday with a bunch of images you find magical and hope to inspire your readers with then share the link below."

This weekly meme is hosted by Good Golly Miss Holly :)

Please don’t have somebody waiting on you.

And what am i supposed to say when I’m all choked up and you’re okay?

I guess it’s true that love was all you wanted, Cause you’re giving it away like it’s extra change, Hoping it will end up in his pocket but he leaves you out like a penny in the rain, Oh, cause it’s not his price to pay,Not his price to pay..

September saw a month of tears, An’ thankin’ God that you weren’t here, To see me like that, But in a box beneath my bed, Is a letter that you never read, From three summers back, It’s hard not to find it all a little bitter sweet, An’ lookin’ back on all of that, It’s nice to believe.

Okay, I know that these are probably not real inspirational, but I love these songs! Majority of them are from Taylor Swift if you haven't already guessed! :)

The idea of making a playlist of the music I've been listening to a lot lately was from Alice over at The Reader Room! I think this idea is awesome because our blogs don't have to be just about books, lol!
When you call on me
When I hear you breathe
I get wings to fly
I feel that I’m alive

When you look at me
I can touch the sky
I know that I’m alive
Mmmmm Ohhhhh

When you bless the day
I just drift away
All my worries die
I’m glad that I’m alive

You’ve set my heart on fire
Filled me with love
Made me a woman
On clouds above

I couldn’t get much higher
My spirit takes flight
Cause I am alive

This is the only song I have for this week because it's a very inspirational song, I believe! Check it out!

Interview: Jennifer DeLucy + A Giveaway (Blog Tour)

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

I am super excited to have Jen here with us today to learn more about her and her Light series! :)

How did you come up with the concept of writing the Light Series?
- I have always been a fan of spooky things, of creepy story lines and
psychological horror like ghosts and possessions. I am also deeply
spiritual and believe that there is an afterlife, so I've read a lot
about near death experiences. These definitely come into play in the
series. Other than some general ideas of what sort of genre it might
be, I had no idea what was going to happen in Seers of Light, and I
certainly hadn't planned the series.

What was the hardest part of writing for you and why? The easiest and why?
- The hardest part is always writer's block. You really have to just
discipline yourself to push through the dry times and suck it up when
you don't feel like writing. No matter how much you love what you're
writing, sometimes you just want to slack off.

Which one of your characters was your favorite to write about and
why? The hardest and why?

- My favorite is a tie between William or Anna. William was enigmatic
and I learned about him as Lily did--one bit at a time. For Anna I
could misbehave all I wanted and get away with it because that was
just her character. The hardest character to write was probably also
William, just because I didn't know exactly who he was at first. Once
it started flowing, though, it all fell into place.

After finishing and publishing your books, is there anything you
wish was different about them?

- Well, every author looks back at what they've written and sees how far
they've come, cringes at the little things that they used to do and
have since grown out of, but, overall, I would say no. The series is a
testament to a lot of growth in both the author and characters, so, I
wouldn't really change anything.

How long did it take you to write Seers of Light?
- Seers of Light took me about five months to complete. I was a bit
compulsive in writing it, but I had a day job, so I couldn't write as
often as I wanted. I was so infatuated with writing the story that
imagine, if I didn't have a day job, I'd have finished the book in
half that time!

I hear that you're working on the third novel in the series, how's
your progress?

- It's coming along. I'm not quite halfway through, but I'm enjoying myself.

Are any of your characters, settings, or events based on your
real-life experiences?

- Oh, definitely. Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, as well as
Old Forge are very real places. Old Forge Style Pizza and legendary
Italian cooking was a big part of my upbringing, as well. The coal
mines of Northeast Pennsylvania are also historical truth to that
area.

What book(s) are on your bookshelf right now?
- Oh, too many to name! But I've just finished up the latest Sookie
Stackhouse book and I picked up Little Women to start again this
morning. Jane Eyre is one of my favorites, so I have that on standby.
Almost anything by Stephen King is at the top of my list, especially
The Stand.

Describe your books in 3 words.
- Hopeful, magical, purposeful.

List 5 unknown facts about yourself.
-I am obsessed with the ocean
-I once got clobbered by a wave in the Atlantic that left me with my
t-shirt over my head on the beach
-I am a total Anglophile. I adore all things British.
-I have a cat named Maddox. ;)
-I love Panera Bread!

Thanks so much Jennifer for stopping by! We hope you'll come back and visit again! :)
