Happy two years, Books Over Boys! #2Y1K2K

Aah, here we are! Books Over Boys is officially (well, not until 3:10 PM but...) two years old today! My baby--yes, I call BOB my baby--is growing up and I absolutely cannot believe it! Time for seriously does sprout wings and a propeller right before our eyes! I don't really even know what has happened in these two years--a whole lot of awesome and a whole lot of nada, that's what, lol! Anyway, before we get to celebrating and having fun, I want to take the time out to thank all the awesome and amazing people who have helped me get to where I am today.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? These people are like...my sisters from another mister and brothers from another mother, no joke! In my two years, I have come across so many people I know I won't be able to name all of you but just know that you guys have made all the difference! You guys are my family away from family; you guys get my nerdiness, you guys get all the madness that comes with blogging, you guys get what it means to swoon and squee--you guys just get me. But it's so much more than just books. You guys are some of the only people who have ever heard of Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, and Marianas Trench. You guys are some of the only people who watch The Vampire Diaries, The Voice, X Factor, Chicago Fire, and The Challenge as religiously as I do. It's almost like no one I know, here on the other side of your screen, is aware of any of this stuff. I find out more from you guys on a daily basis than I do...anywhere else. For reals. We all have so much in common that it's crazy. Back to the books, though. I love that I can come to you guys for book recommendations and I'll get ten billion recs before I know it. I love that I can talk to you guys about a book for forever and we wouldn't get tired of it. I love that you guys are so enthusiastic; it has helped me remember why I started blogging when those times of quitting came to mind. Only we know how much hard word and determination goes into blogging and because of that I feel like we've all become such an incredibly close-knit family.

During my two years, there have been some people that I have become more than close with and I feel like we have seriously formed this friendship that will stay intact for a long time (I hope, lol)! I'll start naming now and I know, without a doubt, that I'll forget a few but do know that all of you are important to me!

Aah, these people are the bestest in all the besterest--ever! Authors and publishers make *waves arms around in a wide gesture* all of this possible. They are the very reason as to why you're reading this right now. I hold authors on the highest pedestal ever; I greatly respect them and it's the highest honor when they acknowledge my little baby. That's the one thing I will never get over--that an author is following/reading Books Over Boys. Like what?! That's totally insane. I mean, who wants to read what I have to say? That's...that's just really cray! But it's more than that; the fact that they acknowledge me and know that I exist is what gets me. I always have mini freak-the-freak-out attacks that I get to talk to some of my favorite authors ever--on a daily basis. Sometimes I freak out so bad that I don't know what to say or how to even interact with them. I know, they're just like us but to a bookworm, an author is like the freakin' President, Pope, and Roman Emperor all in one. Yes, that huge. They're our special kind of celebrity so yeah, freak outs occur quite frequently.

Since I started blogging, I've ran into some books that I'm not sure I would have otherwise that have made me so obsessed with them. These are the authors that have made it onto my top favorites list. These are the ones who have beat all the rest and stand out to me in my overstuffed bookshelf. These are the ones that I'd recommend every single time. These are the ones that I have formed a special (or so I'd like to call) bond with, somewhat. These are some of the ones that have been mentioned more than once here on BOB.

• Courtney Allison Moulton--author of the Angelfire trilogy.
• Jennifer L. Armentrout--author of the Covenant and Lux series.
• Nicole Williams--author of Crash and Clash.
• Colleen Hoover--author of Slammed and Point of Retreat.

• Samantha Young--author of the Tale of Lunarmorte trilogy.
• Cora Carmack--author of Losing It.

Of course there are a crap load of authors that I love and adore to pieces but these seven authors and their novels have made me fall heavily in love with them like no other! If you come to me looking for a book rec, you'll probably get one of these, lol!

Anyway, thank you authors for writing such amazing stories for me to be excited and thrilled about; it keeps my blog thriving and going!

This is for all of you amazing souls who have been reading and following Books Over Boys for these past two years! I probably don't express it nearly enough but seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you! It means the world and more to me! I know that I talk a lot (no, no, I do; my sisters tell me all the time) and that tends to happen in my posts quite a bit and they get lengthy and it's almost always a bit too much to read but even if you just skim it, it means a whole lot to me. That keeps me writing blog posts to share with all of you; keeps me voicing my opinion on the various books I read.

You readers are also why all of this is as possible as it is. You guys made blogging this extraordinaire phenomenon that I have a feeling won't ever fade out. You guys keep reading, we'll keep blogging, and authors will keep writing. See, we all fit together in this huge family equation; we all need each other! :) So thank you, for reading Books Over Boys! BOB reflects backs!

Like I mentioned above, times sprouts wings and a propeller and flies off before you can even get the chance to grab on and take off with it. I still cannot grasp the fact that it's been two years since I started on this venture. Blogging is such a crazy adventure and you really do learn as you go. I have had just as many ups as I have had downs.

Blogging has opened up so many awesome opportunities for me that I am still awestruck by it all. Throughout my two years blogging, I have had a couple of times where I felt validated, where I felt like a legit blogger and those have definitely been the highlights of my blogging journey.
