#BOBblogoversary Day 2: Victoria Scott + Giveaway

Welcome to day two of my month long celebration event for my blog turning three (in a few weeks)!

Okay, so this is kinda, sorta, just a little bit random but... *launches into a novella* ;p

Like I stated in my kickoff post yesterday, I will have authors stopping by all month and because I have quite a few authors lined up, it's all random how and who I pick to feature for each day. So, while I was in the shower this morning (was that TMI? if so, oops and I apologize), I was mentally and randomly shuffling through my author list, trying to pick an author to feature for today. For some reason, Victoria Scott's name kept running to the forefront so... 1) I don't know if that was even random enough and 2) I knew she was going to be my pick for day two.

Anyway, that wasn't the point of my novella... just yet. As I sat down to get ready to type up my post, I figured instead of just posting Victoria Scott's feature, I should probably share a weird/fun/odd/awkward tidbit about myself or about my blogging years or... you know, anything random. Just as I was about to rack my brain for things, I got an email from Victoria Scott and the #VMafia. Holy schmidtballs! So, long story short, I now have something more awesome to share with all of you in regards to the oh-so-infamous, Dante Walker!

Yes, I know! Today's post is going to be epic -- POW! ;p

I’m weird because…
I hate monkeys
I don’t drink caffeine
I have to butter my bread a very particular way

I’m awesome because…
I have cats and cats are awesome
I read YA Lit
I can do a wicked raptor impression

I’m a bad friend because…
I’ll always take the last bite of cake
I won’t tell you if the dress makes you look fat

I’m a good friend because…
I’ll give you the first bite of cake
I’ll come over at 2:00 am if you need me
I have good books to borrow

I’m happy because…
Summer is almost over
I have a vacation to look forward to
I found the best yellow shirt for my husband ever

This feature is highly inspired by MTV's Girl Code. I figured it would be fun to have the authors and bloggers do each their own because if you've ever seen the show or the little segments where they do these features, they are straight up high larious and so real. So, without further ado, here's Victoria Scott!

One time I was on vacation in New Orleans with my husband and this girl ran up to me and grabbed my hair. She pulled it against her own hair and started yelling, “Like mine. Like mine!” I think she was intoxicated. My husband saw the whole thing and pretended not to notice when the girl wouldn’t release my hair. Long story short…don’t trust your husband to save you from another female.

Every time I get into bed I brush the sheets with my hand to ensure there aren’t any crumbs, though I rarely eat in bed. Is that weird?

When I see these women who are otherwise beautiful with their hair piled on top of their head Britney Spears style. I can’t.

Now, onto the really cool Dante Walker news. I've got the blurb for the last and final book in the Dante Walker series to share with all of you! Eep, so exciting! But first, some more... news! ;p

Tomorrow is the kickoff for the #YASH so at 12:00 PST, Tera Lynn Childs will be revealing the title and release date of the final book on her blog. So, that means that you absolutely cannot miss out on this most epic reveal! Okay, now onto the blurb!

War between heaven and hell is coming, but Dante Walker makes it look damn good.

Dante’s girlfriend, Charlie, is fated to save the world. And Aspen, the girl who feels like a sister, is an ordained soldier. In order to help both fulfill their destiny and win the war, Dante must complete liberator training at the Hive, rescue Aspen from hell, and uncover a message hidden on an ancient scroll.

Dante is built for battle, but even he can’t handle the nightmares where spiders crawl from Aspen’s eyes, or the look on Charlie’s face that foretells of devastation. To make matters worse, the enemy seizes every opportunity to break inside the Hive and cripple the liberators. But the day of reckoning is fast approaching, and to stand victorious, Dante will have to embrace something inside himself he never has before—faith.
